Responsibilities:
The Constable serves civil process issued by courts in the county, such as suits for debts, divorce suits, eviction writs, foreclosure papers, and summons. They also serve criminal warrants issued through justice of the peace courts and provide bailiff for those courts. The Constable is elected by the qualified voters for a four-year term.
