The Sheriff Office is divided into the following divisions: Sheriff Office, Jail Division and Dispatch. Jurisdiction includes the entire county for the prevention of criminal actions and arrest of offenders. Responsibilities include patrol of unincorporated areas,; detective and investigative services; supervision of the jail system; return of prisoners fro other jurisdictions; collection of bond forfeitures. The Sheriff is elected by the qualified voters for a four-year term.
